Thank You to a fantastic turn out for our Winterfest Celebration.  And a special Thank You to all our sponsors.  And a HUGE Thank You to all our volunteers who gave up hours and hours to decorate our Downtown for the whole community.

The Kirkland Winterfest Holiday Tree Lighting and Music Festival will take place on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 3:30-6 PM at Peter Kirk Park.

Winterfest and Small Business Shopping Parking

We have a FREE SHOPPING SHUTTLE SERVICE organized by Ford of Kirkland.

Drop your car off at Kirkland City Hall, 5th Avenue, Kirkland, or Lakeside Christian Church, 1st Street, Kirkland, park and get a Ford shuttle which will drop you off at Lake Street and Central.  You can also pick up this shuttle to return you to your vehicle. This service will run from 3 PM to 6 PM.

You may also find parking at the Kirkland Library.  Enter at either the 3rd Street entrance if you are heading north towards Central Way, or enter at Kirkland Avenue.

Festivities and Entertainment

Arrive early and enjoy the Lake Washington High School Jazz Ensemble who will be playing-in the festivities. We will also be entertained by Studio East and (Wow!) Geoffrey Castle. These are performances you just cannot miss.

This year Kirkland Winterfest will be incorporated throughout the downtown Kirkland area with the  Tree Lighting ceremony at 5:00 PM.  All  the winter fun will spread throughout the downtown.

Imagine…….Peter Kirk Park will be aglow with caroling, shopping and family activities.

Fred Herzberg, also known as YouKnowWho, our very favorite guy in the red suit, will be along for all the festivities.

We have an afternoon of performances, carols, kids’ activities, games, Santa arrival, refreshments, food, and the annual tree lighting ceremony marking the beginning of the Winterfest Celebration. For regular updates don’t forget to visit us at our new Facebook Kirkland Winterfest page.

Don’t Forget!

Google Lights, Friday, December 2

On the Cross Kirkland Corridor at Google, 747 6th Street S.  This year featuring a giant snow globe and synchronized lights.

4:30 PM  Get your pictures taken in the Giant Snowglobe.  If you have never seen a giant slow globe check out some pics here.  You and your family or friends get to stand inside the giant snow globe, a photographer will take your photo from outside,  they will print the photo right there.  Boom!

There’s no charge but a donation to the Kirkland Downtown Association (who organizes dozens of Kirkland events throughout the year just for you) would be so appreciated.
